Ok, there have been a lot of grim items in the news lately, and a melancholy hanging over the dying days of summer, and so while I’m always keen to keep the Shadow in mind, sometimes we simply need a smile and a warming of the heart.
Sometimes we find solace and inspiration in unlikely places. The manager of my office building, a man I associate more with leases and rent checks than Julie Andrews, sent along the attached link with the following introduction:
“This video was made in the Antwerp, Belgium Central (Train) Station on the 23rd of March 2009.
. . . with no warning to the passengers passing through the station, at 08:00 am a recording of Julie Andrews singing ‘Do, Re, Mi’ begins to play on the public address system.”
As the bemused passengers watch in amazement, some 200 dancers begin to appear from the crowd and station entrances.
They created this amazing stunt with just two rehearsals!”
I, for one, have to admit that I LOVE THIS!
Sew… click on the link in honor of good cheer and patience for all our collective children, and their summer-wearied parents—right through to the last hot dog and ear of corn at summer’s Labor Day finish line.
Namaste, Bruce
